38Globule is the Association of Young Researchers in Chemistry and Life Sciences of Grenoble, created at the initiative of the students of the Graduate School of Chemistry and Life Sciences (EDCSV) from the Joseph Fourier University (Grenoble). It gathers PhD students from EDCSV and also Master students and post-docs in the fields of chemistry or life sciences.
Our active members are organized into small working groups to propose events and activities around three main themes:
How to apply to CNRS, INSERM ... ? How to become a lecturer? What does the post-doctoral fellowship hold for us? During this round table members of 38Globule meet :
The Global Forum on Life Sciences BioVision, held every two years in Lyon, invites students around the world to attend three days of forum, thanks to the BioVision.Nxt program.
.38Globule participates on its organization with Biodocs-Lyon and ASEC: we set up round tables for discussions with top scientists (Nobel Prize, directors of institutes, large companies, etc.), and we host the BioVision.Nxt network of young scientists invited.
BIOTechno is a forum held in Lyon or Grenoble in June that brings together young researchers and companies in the fields of biology. The day, organized in collaboration with Biodocs-Lyon, ASEC, AMIL, eBiotism and AITAP , aims to promote doctoral education, to put in contact young researchers and companies, and more generally to promote the development of biotechnology. It also presents the various carrer opportunities available after a thesis defense.
Every year the association organizes several visits to companies and other organisations in the fields of biology and pharmacology, such as:
This round table aims at informing Master students in Chemistry or Life Sciences at:
38Globule represents and supports doctoral students from the EDCSV, the Joseph Fourier University and the Doctoral College of Grenoble.
In addition, we participate in discussions and projects of the Confederation of Young Researchers (CJC), like in the text of the Charter of theses, in the upgrading of the research allowance, or even in the establishment of the doctoral contract.
One of the primary objectives of 38Globule is to allow researchers working in related fields to meet, discuss, share their areas of work but also leisure. For this purpose, 38globule organizes:
Whether you are in chemistry or life sciences, if you are a young researcher (masters, PhD or post-doc) and want to participate in one of the projects presented, or to organize, or to create one, join us! There's interesting staff to do for everyone!
In practice, we meet one evening every two months and each project is developed by a group of active members.
By joining, you will have preference in participating to the events organized by the association and you will benefit special rates ... and will of course be welcome in the organizing team!
